Congratulations on your accomplishment at San Juan College!

As you begin to prepare for graduating from San Juan College, please review the information and important deadlines on this page to ensure a happy and stress-free graduation.

 

Graduation 2027 will be held in person on Saturday, May 15, 2027, at 9:00 AM on the San Juan College main campus.

San Juan College Commencement

 

Graduation Rehearsal will be held on Friday, May 14th at 2:00 PM in the Learning Commons Plaza. We encourage graduates to attend so they will be familiar with the ceremony. DO NOT wear the cap and gown to the rehearsal, but it’s recommended you press or steam the gown by today.

Graduation Day

The 2027 Graduation Ceremony will be Saturday, May 15th at 9:00 AM in the Learning Commons Plaza. The ceremony will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.

Graduates must pick up their name and degree card at the Henderson Fine Arts Center and make their way to the student staging area (9000 rooms) no later than 8:00 AM.

  • Graduates should access the campus from Education Blvd (off Pinon Hills Boulevard) or Sunrise Parkway (off Butler Street) and park in front of the bookstore or the Clock Tower Building.  
  • Graduates are required to wear a cap and gown. Cap and Gown sets, extra tassels, and announcements are available from the San Juan College Bookstore.
  • Cap decorations must be in good taste.
  • Each graduate will cross the stage once.

Graduates, please watch your SJC email for information and updates. The college no longer sends graduation information by U.S. Mail.

Eligibility

Students who are eligible to participate in the Spring 2027 Commencement Ceremony are those who completed degree requirements in the following terms:

  • Summer 2026
  • Fall 2026
  • Spring 2027
  • Summer 2027 – those who apply by the February 16th Spring Deadline

Graduation Deadlines

  • Fall 2026 Term Graduation Deadline - October 1, 2026
  • Spring 2027 Term Graduation Deadline - February 16, 2027
  • Summer 2027 Term Graduation Deadline - June 15, 2027**

**If you are completing your requirements during the Summer 2027 term and wish to participate in the Spring 2027 Graduation Ceremony, the deadline to submit your application is February 16, 2027.

Steps to Apply for Graduation

  1. Log in to MySJC
  2. Click on Student Self-Service.
  3. Click on Graduation Overview. 
  4. Click Apply and submit the application for graduation. 
  5. Meet with your Advisor if you have any questions.
